woman injured in skiing accident
December 30, 2003 - Laramine Boomerang, WY - LifeFlight took an 18-year-old
Colorado woman to a Fort Collins, Colo., hospital late Sunday, after she
sustained head injuries in a skiing accident, according to an official
with the Snowy Range Ski Area. The ski area would not release the
woman?s name, citing patient confidentiality policies.

Range Ski Area kicks off new season in style
December 21, 2003 - Laramine Boomerang, WY - It was all work and no play
Friday for construction crews at the Snowy Range Ski Area. They had been
working literally day and night to add the finishing touches to the
interior of the new lodge so they could meet the opening day deadline.
The lodge is an expanse of space ? approximately 32,000 square feet to
be exact ? with floors of artificial rock and wood in-lays.

Area asking city for help
December 02, 2003 - Laramine Boomerang, WY - Snowy Range Ski and Recreation
Area is asking the city to contribute toward costs of rebuilding a ski
lodge destroyed by fire early this year. The ski area has requested a
$100,000 low-interest loan through the Laramie Economic Development
Fund, which is used for economic development loans in the city.

ski resorts prepare for season, snow
November 20, 2003 - Billings Gazette, MT - CHEYENNE - A fair amount of snow
has been falling across most of Wyoming this fall and ski resort
operators are optimistic about a season that will both open on time and
draw lots of customers. The exception schedule-wise is Snowy Range Ski
Area near Centennial, which was dealt a blow when its main lodge burned
down Jan. 2. Work is wrapping up on a $3.5 million replacement and the
ski area is expected to open Dec. 19, about a month behind the usual
date.
