Canaan Opens Season on Friday
December 10, 2008 - Canaan Valley Resort is celebrating its 37th season opening on Friday and special discounts begin a day early. On Thursday, from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m., visitors to the resort can ski all of the open slopes for free. "Slopes are in excellent condition," a Canaan Valley representative said. "We have snow to the top of the mountain." During the weekend, eight of the 39 slopes will be open.

Timberline, Whitegrass Opening Seasons This Week
December 02, 2008 - Colder temperatures and snow have signaled the beginning of ski season in the area. Timberline Resort in Davis will open Thursday, while Whitegrass in Davis will have its official celebration on Saturday. Canaan Valley Resort welcomes skiiers next week. Timberline Resort will begin the season with $1 lift tickets offered throughout the day.

Tucker County Resorts Preparing for Ski Season 2008-2009
October 04, 2008 - Whitegrass Touring Center & Cafe, Timberline Resort and Canaan Valley Resort in Tucker County are all busy preparing for the upcoming ski season. As part of the preparation, the resorts are incorporating expansion and new activities and events into their offerings to guests.
