Locals sign option on Blue Knob
August 08, 2008 - CLAYSBURG - Harry Benjamin has been skiing at Blue Knob All Seasons Resort since he was 3 years old. Now Benjamin, chief executive officer of Altoona Beasley Manufacturing Inc., may become co-owner of the resort. Benjamin and his business partner, Christopher Kopac, a State College real estate developer, have signed an option to purchase Blue Knob Recreation Inc.

Special Olympics competition begins
February 26, 2008 - BLUE KNOB The 2008 Special Olympics kicked off the competition Monday at several venues across the region cross-country skiing at Blue Knob, speed skating at Planet Ice, alpine skiing at Hidden Valley, and figure skating at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown.

Blue Knob Ski Resort to open today
December 26, 2006 - Blue Knob All Seasons Resort will open for its 43rd season of skiing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, weather permitting. The resort's original opening day Dec. 15, was postponed because of the warm weather.
