Tucker County Resorts Preparing for Ski Season 2008-2009
October 04, 2008 - Whitegrass Touring Center & Cafe, Timberline Resort and Canaan Valley Resort in Tucker County are all busy preparing for the upcoming ski season. As part of the preparation, the resorts are incorporating expansion and new activities and events into their offerings to guests. Timberline Resort is endeavoring to open Timberline Resort Hotel, a slope side hotel, by mid-January.  read more

November 21, 2007 - Almost 2 feet of snow fell on Mount Hood over the weekend, allowing the Timberline ski area to open for business Tuesday. Late in the day, Mt. Hood Meadows announced it would open on Friday November 23rd with limited runs.  read more

November 14, 2006 - Central Oregon ski resorts hope recent wet weather will continue to dump snow on their slopes as they prepare to open later this week and next. Timberline and Mt. Proposal could open 62-acres of uncharted terrain ...
November 04, 2004 - Salem Statesman Journal, OR - PORTLAND -- The operators of Timberline Lodge are proposing opening a 62-acre swathe of the ski resort's terrain to skiing that currently are inaccessible. The $3.5 million project could open as early as next summer and would double Timberline's night skiing options. The project includes eight new runs, a new four-person lift and two tree-skiing areas.  read more
