April 19, 2008 - Bend snowboarder Forrest DeVore, 27, blasts off a jump Thursday under the Pine Marten Express lift at Mt. Bachelor ski area. Skiers and snowboarders have only a few days left to take advantage of prime areas at Mt. Bachelor and Hoodoo Ski Area.  read more

Hoodoo prays for more snow
December 15, 2007 - At the mid-valleys nearest ski and snowboard destination, Hoodoo Mountain Resort, the staff is praying for snow. Hoodoo experienced a record number of patrons last year, with about 90,000 visitors during its 110 open days. But this year the resort has yet to officially open for the season.  read more

Bachelor, other resorts to open this weekend
November 14, 2006 - Central Oregon ski resorts hope recent wet weather will continue to dump snow on their slopes as they prepare to open later this week and next. Timberline and Mt. Bachelor expect to open for skiing and snowboarding Thursday and Friday, respectively, with Hoodoo opening the following weekend.  read more

December 01, 2004 - The Register-Guard, Oregon - At Mount Bachelor, resort operators are urging skiers to do a "snow dance," and at Hoodoo Ski Area, lift operators burned some old skis in the hopes of awakening the snow gods.  read more

Hoodoo ski passes cost a little more
September 10, 2004 - Bend Bulletin, OR - Hoodoo season pass prices are up about 3 percent over last year, according to Hoodoo President Chuck Shepard. An adult pass will cost $450 this year, a $15 jump, while student passes have gone down to $289 from $297. Junior passes will edge up to $170 from $160 this season, senior passes will cost $270. A new young adult pass for 19- to 25-year-olds is being sold this year for $289. Nordic season passes will cost $135 for all ages.  read more

January 14, 2004 - Oregonian, OR - Throughout Oregon, ski resorts are reporting near-record turnouts after one of the state's worst-ever winter storms. The Hoodoo Mountain Resort unveiled a new tubing spot, the Autobahn Tubing Park, earlier this month for people who feel like careening down the mountain on an inflated tube instead carving tracks on skis or snowboards.  read more
