Several ski centers to open Saturday
December 04, 2003 - Syracuse Post Standard, NY - The Central New York downhill ski and snowboarding season launches on Saturday as a handful of area ski centers open with fresh powder and plenty of snowmaking. Labrador Mountain in Truxton rolls on three trails, opening at 9 a.m. and running until 4:30 p.m. Greek Peak (800-955-2754), south of Cortland, gets things going on Saturday at 8:30 a.m., operating lifts until 5 p.m. Tiny Four Seasons (637-9023), in Fayetteville, opens Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Song Mountain (696-5711) in Tully and Toggenburg Mountain (683-5842) in Fabius were hopeful on Wednesday that they would open on Saturday. Into the Adirondacks, the Olympic twins Gore and Whiteface are open. Since I've had questions about it, yes, Vermont's Killington is open this weekend, too.  read more
