October 05, 2004 - Syracuse Post Standard, NY - Bargain hunters will be converging on two area ski resorts this month in search of preseason deals on hardware - skis, snowboards, clothing and more - long before the software - the snow - flies. Labrador Mountain, in Truxton, and Greek Peak, in Virgil, south of Cortland, are hosting weekend-long events later this month to sell some goods, prime the pump for the downhill season and raise money for ski-related causes.  read more

Several ski centers to open Saturday
December 04, 2003 - Syracuse Post Standard, NY - The Central New York downhill ski and snowboarding season launches on Saturday as a handful of area ski centers open with fresh powder and plenty of snowmaking. Labrador Mountain in Truxton rolls on three trails, opening at 9 a.m. and running until 4:30 p.m. Greek Peak (800-955-2754), south of Cortland, gets things going on Saturday at 8:30 a.m., operating lifts until 5 p.m. Tiny Four Seasons (637-9023), in Fayetteville, opens Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Song Mountain (696-5711) in Tully and Toggenburg Mountain (683-5842) in Fabius were hopeful on Wednesday that they would open on Saturday. Into the Adirondacks, the Olympic twins Gore and Whiteface are open. Since I've had questions about it, yes, Vermont's Killington is open this weekend, too.  read more
