Lodge has strong opener
December 02, 2003 - Billings Gazette, MT - Red Lodge Mountain had a banner
opening, with more than 3,300 skiers and snowboarders visiting the ski
area during the three-day Thanksgiving weekend. The ski hill opened 10
trails and four lifts serving beginner and intermediate terrain on the
lower mountain. Unseasonably warm weather and discounted lift-ticket
prices brought out more people than expected.

area targets Friday opening
November 25, 2003 - Billings Gazette, MT - All systems are go for the opening
of Red Lodge Mountain ski area Friday. Last week's snowstorm added
another 12 to 16 inches of snow to the mountain's base, according to Rob
Ringer, general manager. "We're trying to get as much open as
possible," he said. "We've had a lot of phone calls. People
are excited to get back on the snow again."
