New snow helps local ski resorts
December 25, 2007 - Area ski resorts got their white Christmas and then some, thanks to a special delivery from Mother Nature. Whitefish Mountain Resort on Big Mountain picked up six inches of snow Sunday night and Monday morning, bringing the settled snow base at the summit to 59 inches.

Last-minute snow help opening day
December 13, 2007 - Things were looking grim for Whitefish Mountain Resorts opening day, but a deluge of wet snow last week followed by Arctic weather saved the day. Skiers and snowboarders found good snow conditions on Big Mountain on Dec. 8. Blue skies accompanied frigid temperatures, but there was no wind.
