January 16, 2009 - Sunday River is a vast resort in Maine s backwoods, an immense place in a remote location, and because of where it is, Sunday River is overlooked by a significant portion of the Northeastern skiing and snowboarding public. Thats too bad.

December 09, 2008 - It was starting to snow lightly as we pulled into the Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River in Newry, Maine, on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Sunday River is always on my "A" list for early season skiing. They have a huge snowmaking system, and the new owner, Boyne Resorts, isn't afraid to light it up. When we headed down to Bethel for dinner, it was snowing a bit harder.
