February 03, 2006 - GALENA - While eagles soared over Chestnut Mountain Resort near Galena, on the ground, hundreds of family members, winter sports enthusiasts and an army of more than 350 volunteers spent Wednesday and Thursday cheering and guiding nearly 400 athletes and their coaches through the demanding events that make up the 2006 Special Olympics Illinois Winter Games.
